Werewolf ("the Game," "we," "our," "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. The Game is provided free of charge and is open source under the MIT license.
We collect the absolute minimum data necessary to operate the Game. We do not collect any personally identifiable information beyond what you voluntarily provide during gameplay.
All collected data is used solely for the following purposes:
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Game data is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV, a globally distributed key-value store. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
All game data (rooms, players, roles, actions) automatically expires within 24 hours of creation via our Time-To-Live (TTL) mechanism. No long-term data storage occurs. There is no user account system, so there are no profiles or historical records to delete.
The game host's browser stores the room code and host token in localStorage. This allows the host to reconnect to an active game if disconnected. Clearing browser data or session expiry removes this information. No server-side storage of this data persists beyond the game session.
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the website. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
You can learn more about Google's advertising practices at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Game is a general audience product and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

To exercise any of these rights, please open an issue on our GitHub repository. Since we maintain no permanent user accounts or long-term data storage, most data is automatically deleted within 24 hours.
